Shopigent bills through the Shopify App Store. The Free plan does not require a card. Shopify Billing charges Growth and Pro. Shopigent does not collect a card of its own.

Theme Pull Request boundary

When the GitHub App is configured and this shop already has a stored installation, Theme Pull Requests can choose a repository that installation can access. Starting a new GitHub App connection on that page is unavailable. The page then says to use a repository-scoped personal access token. If the GitHub App is not configured, the page says the one-click flow is not set up and the token form remains. Shopigent reads explicit files. A dry-run returns a preview and does not open a pull request. A live call requires confirmation, then creates only a branch, commits, and a pull request. It never merges, deploys, publishes, or directly edits Shopify theme code through the Admin Theme API. You review and merge; Shopify's native GitHub theme integration synchronizes the connected branch to the theme you selected. Use an unpublished connected theme for review so the live storefront remains unchanged.

How limits work

• A tool call is one MCP tool invocation — one list_products call, one refund_order, etc.
• Limits reset at midnight UTC.
• The call that returns confirmation_pending already counts. Approving it, from the MCP client or the Confirmations page, is another tool call and counts again. That call runs the write only if the server check passes. Declining on the Confirmations page does not run the tool and does not add another call.
• dryRun: true calls count as normal calls. The argument name is dryRun, not dry_run. A dry-run does not execute the write. Custom-tool previews are not included on Free.
• Every plan, including Pro, also has a fair-use limit of 60 calls per minute.

Upgrading & downgrading

1. Open the Shopigent dashboard in your Shopify admin.
2. Go to Billing and choose Continue to Shopify.
3. Shopify's pricing page is where the subscription is confirmed. This app does not change the plan on that click. It stores the plan Shopify reports.

Shopigent does not schedule a downgrade for the end of the billing cycle, and it does not calculate proration. When Shopify reports a new plan, the admin shows that plan. Settings, the connection key, and the audit log are kept. Write tools are not executed on a plan that does not include them.

FAQ

Do unused calls roll over? No, the daily allowance resets every day.

What happens if I hit my limit? A daily cap returns an error that asks you to upgrade. A burst past 60 calls in a minute returns "Rate limit exceeded" and a retry delay. The per-minute limit applies on every plan, including Pro.

Is there a trial for paid plans? Growth and Pro include a 7-day free trial. Shopify Billing handles the trial. The Free plan has no trial.
